PURE

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE

PURE

The crystal sound of the word “Pure” reminds me of the untouched, unblemished, and unchanged bonds between those people who are soulmate. I might be an idealist, who puts her head on the clouds and her heart on the hands of her allies, when keep on believing in such a pure relationship that is becomeing a myth in today societies. A true friendship takes a long time and a lot of efforts to form and evolve, therefore, some folks would rather chose the shortcut of making friends temporarily and superficially which is base on the mutual short-term benefits. As a result, sincere people who fully aware of the sensitivity and impermanence of human attachment have turned themselves into delicate, vague, and surreal matters just like the magical jellyfishes. FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD

TRIO

Lot of people would love to be surrounded by the loud noise and the dense heat generated from the tangled mass of human bodies around them. THE LITTLE WHITE DRESS

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE

SYMBOL

Could it be true that a symbol is a commonplace abbreviation of our diverging interpretations about the world? Or is it a mysterious signal which might be lucid with some particular people but entirely obtuse with the rest? In my opinion, a symbol is a light house which guide we through the mist of time to the land of forgotten memories.

SHIP IN A BOTTLE

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE

ENVELOPED

During my childhood, there was nothing more romantic than a ship in a bottle. It likes a big dream captured inside a small glass cage so we can hold on to the illusion that some eternal moments would not disappear. People always want to control everything around them even themselves and these little things are dramatic and miserable at the same time.

THE TIDE OF BALI

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE

FORCES OF NATURE

Nature is our loving and unpredictable mother with her magnificent powers which human cannot fully aware of. There is no place on the planet that we can witness this truth more clearly than in Bali, the heaven on earth. It is said that the 2006 Tsunami had extremely damaged Java but Bali stayed safe because of its scared temples which located four directions of the island.
This photo was taken at Tanah Lot temple when aggressive waves screaming and rushing to hit the rocky clift above. Although the hostile sea keeps outraged below, the temple just stays calm and quiet in a windy afternoon on the holy land among the white tides.

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE

Nowaday, people tend to think that we are more advanced than our ancestors were. The truth is our techniques may be more progressive than manual methods in the past but it does not prove that our works are in a high level of beauty than those had been made long time ago. In fact, we are still learning from all the heritages which were left until today, especially in architecture.
