WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: RELIC
The Smile of BAYON
Two years ago, I came to Cambodia for the first time. It was also the first time that I went abroad with a compact camera and a heart full of dreams. This trip grown in me the love for sacred places where ancestors of humankind built their glory and patrimony. I remember a girl who tried to acquire the imposing beauty of ancient group of temples in this country just in a blink of her eyes.
The smile of Bayon is the only thing that I will never forget. They say the sacred smile can bring you happiness if you come to Bayon. I do believe in that myth!
I hope all people in this world can believe in the power of the smile. Can we share the love for each other and make our lives better together. Don’t let Bayon be a relic and the meaning of the smile be a relic, too.
Oh that looks so beautiful and peaceful… 🙂
Thanks for dropping by 🙂 I think people who love travel will also love peace ❤ ❤

That’s a great meditation on how relics have important meaning. Stunning image. Thank you so much for sharing this history, I enjoyed reading.
Thanks for stopping by. I am a slow person who only love peaceful places and harmless actions. Maybe it’s kinda boring to someone but I love the simpleness of life 🙂
super shot
I think I can make out a face there on the upright temple. I wonder if it is just me or it is in fact a face there. 🙂
Great story and smile is the biggest treasure of life… take a look at this short story of the smile: http://byswav.com/2014/03/11/lucky-smile-of-1000-sunshines/ Cheers from Ireland 🙂
